Eating Vegan in Amsterdam - Part 2

As you can see, while traveling you can not always eat the local foods if you are vegan.  So, the end of our trip was celebrated with Chinese and Italian food.

We at lunch at the Sea Palace floating restaurant.  It is located just down from the train station.

It might be a little cheesy looking but at least you can get some vegan food and it was good.

I started with some Dim Sum.  These vegetable dumblings were 6 euro.  They were ok but I think I would skip them at this price.

All the food was kept warm on these hot trays placed in the center of the table.

This Bean Curd & Vegetables dish was very good.  There was a lot of food for 12.50 euro.  It contained bok choy, carrots, mushrooms, green onions and garlic sauce.  I liked it.

The Sea Palace has a website if you are interested in more information:  http://www.seapalace.nl/en

Dinner was at Pizzeria Doria.  This little restaurant is connected to the Doria Hotel and is on a bustling street which is great for people watching.  We sat at an upstairs window and watched the Friday night "show" of tourists and bachelorette parties drifting by.

I ate a green salad of lettuce, olives, green peppers, cucumbers, and red peppers for 4.80 euro.

I also had the Penne with Onions and Tomato for 9.90 euro.  It was delicious with a very rich tomato sauce!

Yes, it was very basic food.  But, it was terrific!  Pizzeria Hotel Doria is located at Damstraat 3 and is just off Dam Square.  Here is a link:  http://www.hoteldoria.nl/restaurant/

Good-bye Amsterdam!  Such a fun and colorful city.
